Rachel, the Bright and Beautiful franchise founders award for Outstanding Entrepreneur award recognised both her ethos and consistent growth of her franchise brand, which she launched in 2007. The Bright and Beautiful franchise was launched with the purpose of providing eco-friendly cleaning, tidying laundry and ironing; with the highest standards of security and service. Since it's launch, the company has seen rapid growth through its franchising model and now has more than 50 franchises operating nationwide. The Bright & Beautiful franchise also employs a total of 460 people and is experiencing a £5m turnover.
Having worked previously in a high pressure corporate environment herself for many years, Rachel decided to set up the Bright & Beautiful Franchise with the intention of being able to create an enjoyable, family friendly and professional working environment for herself and her teams.
Rachel comments:
"Bright & Beautiful has always been all about supporting and empowering women which is why it is so great that our way of working has been recognised by the Northern Power Women Awards, When I launched the Bright & Beautiful Franchise I knew there had to be a more efficient way to work than a job that left me exhausted and not able to spend the time I wanted with my family. As word spread about the services we were providing and our particular franchise model, we have had like-minded women join us from all professions and from across the UK to run our franchise model - from lawyers and teachers to models and police officers.
Rachel Continues,
"The thing that I am proud of the most is that we are able to support so may women - from our clients who need their homes cared for so they can enjoy their free time. Our Franchisees can build and grow their own profitable and family friendly franchise business. This award gives us fantastic recognition of that, and I'm hugely honoured to have received it."
If that wasn't enough, the Bright & Beautiful franchise also donates at least 10% of its profits to charity, working alongside Compassion International and other charities to support underprivileged families that are based overseas. Bright & Beautiful has so far sponsored ten children and has given more than 50 families the invaluable opportunity to start their very own microbusinesses. Bright & Beautiful franchise has also purchased a plot of land in Rwanda which it plans to build a school for children that have previously been deprived of any education.
Simon Roche, founder of Northern Power Women, said:
"I am extremely proud that the Northern Power Women campaign is driving gender diversity and shifting the culture of business by recognising, showcasing and celebrating role models."
Bright & Beautiful is an award winning business model that is focused around a franchise system that trains women throughout the UK to manage their own team of specialist professional housekeepers.
All of the Bright & Beautiful franchises are owned and operated by businesswomen that were seeking to step off the corporate ladder and enjoy both their work and home lives, making the guilt and torn loyalties that often come with attempting to juggle the two a thing of the past.
