Clear Brew - Celebrating 10 years of successful franchising

During the last 10 years we have welcomed over 50 franchisees to the Clear Brew team! Our cohort consists of people from a variety of backgrounds. Here we explore the evolution of the Clear Brew franchise and how it has become the network it is today.

Where did Clear Brew’s franchising journey begin?

MD, Stephen Trezona, had been cleaning beer lines throughout Cornwall for 6 years before deciding that franchising was the best way to strengthen the brand and branch out the service on a national level. Clear Brew franchise was launched in 2012 and in the same year welcomed its first franchisee. Alan, who operates in the Taunton & Bristol region, completed his training in Cornwall before returning home with the knowledge and skills needed to run the business successfully in his area, Alan remains a successful franchisee to this day. To date we have an ever-expanding network covering over 50% of the UK. Such has been the success; the brand is now recognised as the UK’s leading independent beer line cleaning company. Much has changed in the world since its inception but the Clear Brew service remains very similar to that that enabled Stephen to carry out his very first clean back in 2006.

You are supplying a service that is not an ‘optional extra’ but a publican’s ‘must do’. Regular repeat business generates great, predictable cash flow. The variety of clients and venues keeps it interesting and fun, I am making a comfortable living as an owner/operator in less than 6 months, and with the size of my territory and the margins available I will be able to grow the business and further increase my income by taking on staff. I now have time to enjoy life!!!’
