Leading Recruitment Franchise promotes age diverse workforces

CNA International Age Positive leads the way in promoting age diverse workforces

CNA International, part of the Pertemps Network Group, have launched one of the UK's first executive search firms for the over 50s.

CNA International Age Positive is taking bold steps to tackle age bias and answer skills gaps by offering a unique retained executive search model with a particular focus on people aged in their 50s, 60s and beyond.

News of the venture follows calls from Andy Briggs, the government’s Business Champion for Older Workers, for UK employers to increase the number of workers aged over 50 in the UK by a minimum 12% by 2022.

The agency is the brainchild of Duncan Keil who, via a master franchise with CNA International Executive Search, has unveiled CNA International Age Positive against a changing demographic that includes an ageing population and skills shortage in many professions.

CNA International Age Positive is already receiving serious interest from some of the UK’s biggest employers and brands, all keen on benefiting from employing older and experienced workers not only for their knowledge but also their loyalty, flexibility, customer skills and work ethic.

The business will also be opening up communication channels for its candidate base in the form of The Age Positive Community, an online forum that has been described as the ‘Portal of Choice’ for over 50s employees and employers.’

Duncan said:

“There exists a skills deficit in the UK that appears to be widening all the time. We are also witnessing an ageing population across the UK and Europe. The over 50s are therefore an essential and highly valuable talent pool which is in need of practical support to find and retain work at executive level.
“It is early days for our agency but the interest we are already getting from UK businesses has been staggering. There is a real appetite from companies to employ older workers at executive level and this is supported by a political movement that is growing in support. Several guilds have also offered to support us.”

Nick Sprang, Director of CNA International Executive Search, added:

“This is a really exciting venture for CNA and allows us to further expand the services that we offer. This is new territory for executive search firms in the UK and we are delighted to be championing older workers at a time when employers are opening their eyes to the benefits of having an age diverse workforce.
