Marla Custom Blinds help hair products distributor stay cool

Fareham based Marla Custom Blinds recently completed the manufacture and installation of sixty-one custom roller blinds for hair products distributor Salon Success Ltd. The £5,000 contract was a critical part of a more extensive redesign and refurbishment for Salon Success’s new head office in Aylesbury coordinated by Atorie Design of Southampton.

“Atorie approached us based on our reputation for quality, reliability and value,” said Marla Custom Blinds MD Martin Froud. “We were able to submit an estimate, based on the supplied design drawings, within a few days of receiving the initial request and it was accepted.”

In mid-January, once the building works reached a suitable stage, Danny Froud, Marla’s Surveyor, visited the site to carry out a detailed survey before submitting a final price.

“I was delighted when our quotation for the manufacture and installation of all sixty-one blinds was accepted just a few days later,” said Mr Froud.

Marla’s skilled manufacturing team then got to work constructing the made to measure blinds from Marla’s specialist range of flame-retardant material, for a target installation date of 20th February 2020.

Atorie Design had specified that the window blinds for the external façade of the building were specifically to reduce glare and minimise passive heat gain, while the meeting room blinds were for extra privacy and to allow projector use.

“Choosing the most appropriate material to meet our client’s specific performance requirements is second nature to us.” said a Marla spokesperson. “We offer an unrivalled range of specialist materials and colours to suit any situation.”

Marla’s in-house installation team completed the work in Aylesbury on time and within budget, much to the satisfaction of Salon Success Ltd. and project co-ordinators Atorie Design. Marla Custom Blinds are professional shade specialists who design and manufacture a wide range of commercial and domestic blinds, shade and shutters for offices, homes and conservatories.
