No Letting Go Plymouth franchisee shares her experiences of starting her business during the pandemic

When a potential franchisee for No Letting Go (residential inventory management), desired to learn more about what life was like during 2020 when COVID 19 swept across the nation. As part of his research, he specifically wanted to chat with a franchisee who had started their franchise during 2020.

Sue Cooper No Letting Go franchisee

Take a look at the conversation between our prospect and Sue Cooper who joined No Letting Go last year:-

What made you choose No Letting Go?

I chose No Letting Go because I met Nikki Wakeford! She is a great ambassador of the company and I felt totally at ease with her. I found her honest and to the point about all aspects of running a franchise. Also, if I am honest, it was a relatively low start up which was another incentive.

How did you finally take the plunge?

I did some research about my competitors and what agents were in my area. I have always owned my own property and I had no idea about the rental market and the scale of it. I used to work in the industry many moons back, but again, that was in sales. I felt there was huge potential and decided to give it a go.

What has been your biggest challenge along the way? Any regrets?

My biggest challenge has been and is Covid-19. I joined in April 2020 but could not start trading until June due to the restrictions. In a normal climate, we could physically go into agents and sell our services, but now it is so much harder to market, having said that it is not impossible.

How long until you broke even?

I have been trading since the end of June 2020 and it only took me a couple of months to break even.

How do you find working with letting agents?

Despite what I said regarding marketing above, it is not such a hard sell. The quality of the reports we produce are so much more comprehensive than most, if not all of our competitors. So once they have used us they tend to come back. I am still learning (don't think that will ever stop) all of the different technical terms to make my reports stand out. I try to be flexible and accommodating and strive to give a personal service with good customer care at the forefront of all I do. I think as long as I do that, the agents and landlords will be happy.

Anything else you could share about your experience would be amazing?

I can not rate the company any higher! Such approachable people that are there to help us every step of the way.
