Oven Valeting Franchise launches in Cardiff

An experienced former civil servant has realised a lifelong dream of becoming his own boss after launching an oven valeting franchise firm within the East Cardiff franchise territory.

Paul Mackay is now the owner of Ovenu Cardiff East, following a career working at the Valuation Office in Colchester and for an insurance firm.

Paul, 48, is originally from Colchester but moved to Cardiff 15 years ago.

He is setting his sights on rapid expansion and plans to take on a number of sub-contractors, serving more areas of Cardiff, within the next couple of years.

Paul said:

“I’ve always wanted to work for myself and as soon as the opportunity came about, I jumped at the chance. It will be an exciting challenge and I think it is the right time to take the plunge into business, especially with the ongoing support from Ovenu at my disposal.
“The long-term aim is to expand into further areas within the city and create opportunities for sub-contractors to come on board, so I am concentrating on establishing the business first and creating a thriving customer base to turn this goal into a reality.”

The Ovenu valeting franchise process involves dismantling key components of an oven such as the door, interior panels, fan and shelves and placing them into design-registered tank equipment, which uses safe, non-caustic products to clean the oven parts. The whole process takes around three to four hours and leaves the oven, hob and exterior in immaculate condition.
