Ovenu Bolton expansion creates jobs

A successful Bolton businessman is driving his ambitious growth plans with job creation in the area.

Jonathan Fry, who has owned oven valeting firm Ovenu Bolton since 2002, has taken on Steven Torrance as a sub-contractor to cope with increased demand.

He is now aiming to take on even more sub-contractors and invest in a fleet of vehicles, over the next 12 months.

The firm averages more than 600 oven valets per year, with 70% of jobs coming from existing customers and recommendations.

Following the appointment of Steven, Jonathan now expects this number to rise to more than 1,000.

“I have enjoyed a very successful 14 years in business and I’m now in a position to expand and grow the firm even more. I am delighted that Steven is on board and his determination and enthusiasm will serve the firm well during this period of growth. Within the next 12 months I will be looking to invest in my workforce and get a few more vehicles out on the road, which will hopefully allow us to double the amount of jobs we carry out. It’s all starting to come together and with the infrastructure in place, in time, I will be able to take up more of a managerial role.”

Ovenu Bolton provides its environmentally-friendly service to homes and businesses in Bolton including Heaton, Lostock, Westhoughton, Horwich, Smithills, Bromley Cross, Edgworth, Egerton, Sharples, Bradshaw, Harwood and Ainsworth, as well as all surrounding areas.

Rik Hellewell, Managing Director and Founder of Ovenu, said: “Jonathan is a longstanding Ovenu businessman and it is fantastic to see him now in a position to grow his business with the hiring of Steven as his sub-contractor. It is an exciting time for Ovenu Bolton, with plenty of positivity ahead, and I would like to wish Jonathan and his team all the very best going forward.”

Ovenu is a franchise network made up of more than 90 businesses owned by men and women working throughout the UK.

The Ovenu valeting process involves dismantling key components of an oven such as the door, interior panels, fan and shelves and placing them into design-registered tank equipment, which uses safe, non-caustic products to clean the oven parts. The whole process takes around three to four hours and leaves the oven, hob and exterior in immaculate condition.
