Ovenu Sheffield targets record turnover following 'full circle' appointment

The Sheffield-based oven valeting firm is expecting to double its turnover after driving forward expansion plans by investing in its workforce and infrastructure.

Ovenu Sheffield South, which serves Chesterfield, Dronfield and Sheffield, has taken on a sub-contractor, as well as having purchased a new van, to keep up with increased demand, following year-on-year growth of 40%.

Paul Paling, who operated Ovenu Sheffield South between 2004 and 2007, has re-joined the firm having worked as a manager of another cleaning business.

With the addition of Paul, Phillip Turner, Ovenu Sheffield South’s owner, is now aiming to increase the number of oven valets it completes per week to more than 20.

Mr Turner said: “I am delighted to welcome Paul to the business, which will help me achieve my goals of doubling our turnover and servicing even more clients. Paul is already well-known to many of my customers, having worked with Ovenu previously, and as a result of him coming on board this should add several hundred more cleans a year.

“The future of the business looks very promising and with the addition of a sub-contractor this will support the continued growth of the firm.”

Paul added: “As soon as the opportunity became available I was interested in coming back to Ovenu and assisting Phillip, having enjoyed an excellent three years in business myself. The firm was left in good hands when Phillip took over and he has done an exceptional job in creating a thriving business.”

In addition to its core service areas in Chesterfield, Dronfield and throughout Sheffield, Ovenu Sheffield South provides its environmentally-friendly service to homes and businesses in Clay Cross, North Wingfield, Wingerworth, Grassmoor, Hasland, Calow, Bolsover, Clowne, Creswell, Staveley, Brimington, Ashgate, Newbold, Whittington and Dronfield Woodhouse.

Ovenu is a franchise network made up of more than 100 businesses owned by men and women working throughout the UK.

“It is great to see Paul back with Ovenu and I am sure his support will allow Phillip to continue to drive forward his expansion plans and enjoy further growth in the future.”
Rik Hellewell, Managing Director and Founder of Ovenu

The Ovenu valeting process involves dismantling key components of an oven such as the door, interior panels, fan and shelves and placing them into design-registered tank equipment, which uses safe, non-caustic products to clean the oven parts. The whole process takes around three to four hours and leaves the oven, hob and exterior in immaculate condition.
