Pacifica Local sets its sight on UK expansion with 45 new recruits

Pacifica, the leading independent provider of Domestic Appliance Repairs in the Major Domestic Appliance (MDA) market, has announced plans to recruit 45 new franchisees to expand its engineer network, Pacifica Local.

This announcement coincides with Pacifica Local's participation in the Franchise Show at the ExCel London on 12th and 13th April, marking a significant step in its expansion journey.

The show, known for being a pivotal event in the franchise industry, provides an ideal platform for Pacifica to showcase its successful business model and attract potential franchisees.

Pacifica Local is part of Pacifica’s strategy to provide a comprehensive, UK-wide, team of appliance engineers. In addition to its 260 directly employed engineers, and a portfolio of regional repair businesses it has acquired, it is also building a portfolio of local franchisees.

Currently, Pacifica Local boasts a franchisee network of 20 engineers who are supported by Pacifica’s client network and industry-leading technology platform.

Pacifica Local provides franchisees with a wide range of support and tools, to help them reach customers in their area, including a fully integrated website, field management systems, business mentoring, comprehensive training programmes, dual branding, financial analytics and technical field support.

In addition, franchisees have access to Pacifica's warranty work. Undertaking more than 390,000 appliance repairs every year, Pacifica works closely with manufacturers such as Glen Dimplex Home Appliances, Electrolux, Sony, Hisense, Vestel, Howdens, and LG, along with major retailers including, Argos and Shop Direct.

Furthermore, Pacifica's purchasing power enables businesses to benefit from negotiated discounts, bulk purchasing, and access to preferred suppliers, contributing to higher profit margins.

"Pacifica Local offers a compelling opportunity for entrepreneurs looking to invest in a franchise. We have created an exceptional support system, comprehensive training programmes and a robust business model in one of the fastest growing parts of the electrical products industry."
Paul Feek, Chief Commercial Officer at Pacifica

“There is a growing trend, driven by government, manufacturers and environmentally and financially conscious customers, to maintain the lifespan of home appliances for longer, which involves the expertise of repair and maintenance engineers. This makes Pacifica Local an ideal choice for those seeking to embark on a journey in the dynamic world of franchising.

He added: “At Pacifica Local, we believe in nurturing strong relationships with our franchisees, offering them the support and resources they need to thrive. Our presence at the Franchise Show in London is not just an opportunity to expand our network, but also a testament to our commitment to excellence and innovation in the franchise sector.

“The company's goal to onboard 45 new franchisees is not just about numerical growth. It reflects Pacifica's dedication to fostering entrepreneurial spirit and contributing to local economies. Each new franchisee brings with them a commitment to quality, community engagement, and customer satisfaction; values that are at the heart of Pacifica Local's ethos.”
