Where Commercial Insights Meets Real World Judgement in Building Insurance
When a property suffers a major loss, the impact rarely stops at the damage itself. It quickly extends into cash flow, disrupts operations and places immediate pressure on decisions that carry long-term consequences.

In those moments, the distinction is not simply between having a process and following it. It lies in understanding the mechanics of a building insurance claim and, more importantly, the commercial realities behind them.
At Concept Claim Solutions (Leatherhead and West Surrey), Pierre Guy brings a commercially grounded perspective to every claim. As a Loss Assessor and Project Manager, he combines operational experience with a clear focus on protecting the policyholder’s best interests at every stage.
Supported by his team and backed by a national, multi-award-winning loss assessor franchise with over 24 years of experience, Pierre offers both personal accountability and the strength of an established network. From initial damage assessment through to the full management of reinstatement works, clients benefit from a structured, professional service designed to deliver the right outcome
Resilience and Real-World Judgement
In 2023, Pierre Guy joined Concept Claim Solutions as a franchise partner for Leatherhead and West Surrey. His experience, shaped by both successes and setbacks in his career, allows him to evaluate situations with a depth of understanding that goes beyond standard processes, focusing instead on commercial realities informed by real-world experience.
Pierre began his career in international hotel management, working for large global brands. In 2007, he made the decisive move into entrepreneurship by acquiring two hotels in Scotland, which placed him directly in the midst of the financial crisis. Afterwards, he relocated to London, where he established and grew his own construction and building services business.
What Clients Say About Pierre
As one client, Alex R, put it, “A lot of people think ‘I can handle an insurance claim’… like I did, at first. It was only after bringing Pierre in that the difference became clear. He identified issues that had been missed, expanded the scope of the claim and secured a far stronger outcome.”
That shift is a recurring theme.
Following a significant flood, Russ M described how the insurer’s initial position understated the extent of the damage. Pierre challenged that position, reassessed the detail and ensured the claim reflected the true impact. The result was transformative. As Russ put it, “the claim trebled, because why should she put up with a kitchen that has been underwater?”
Perspective, Discipline and What Drives Pierre
Away from the details of insurance claims and construction, Pierre maintains a disciplined routine that reflects how he approaches his work. He runs trails regularly, sails when he can, and cooks most evenings. This creates space to reflect, stay focused, and approach problems with clarity rather than in reaction.
That same mindset carries into how Pierre works with clients. He believes that small details matter, that problems should be addressed early, and that honesty is non-negotiable. As he often says, “problems don’t disappear when they’re hidden, they compound.”
At its core, Pierre’s work is driven by a straightforward belief: outcomes improve when someone takes ownership. Whether that is challenging an assumption, advancing a process, or ensuring a client is properly represented, his role is to bring structure and direction to situations that can otherwise feel uncertain.
Considering a Franchise?
For those looking to build a business with real impact, Pierre’s journey offers a clear insight into what is possible.
This is not simply about following a process. It is about building a reputation, delivering outcomes and taking ownership of the result.
