Who made the cut? The EF100 2026 list drops!

The wait is over. Today Elite Franchise unveiled the EF100 2026. Since 2017, the EF100 has recognised brands shaping the future of franchising by spotlighting innovation, resilience and success.

Stagecoach Performing Arts has been crowned the top of the EF100 rankings. This marks the first time in the EF100’s nine-year history that a children’s services franchise has claimed the top spot with the no.1 position being dominated in previous years by homecare and automotive franchises.

Stagecoach Performing Arts inspires creative courage for life with classes helping children in singing, dancing and acting. They have continued to grow, thanks to standout leadership, clear strategic vision and consistent business development.

Anita Roberts, Franchise Director at HSBC UK and one of the EF100 judges, praised the calibre of entries submitted this year:

“Once again, the standard of the entries highlights how dynamic and determined UK franchising continues to be. The adaptability and innovation shown by brands in challenging conditions are truly impressive.”

Joining Stagecoach Performing Arts in the top 5 for 2026 are McDonald’s in second place, Home Instead in third, Snap-on Tools in fourth, and Caremark rounding out the top 5.

Congratulating all the achievements of the franchises listed is Jodie Marsh, Commercial Director of Elite Franchise:

“Gaining a spot in the Top 100 is a remarkable achievement to be truly proud of. Each year, we assess entries based on our eight key criteria while also evaluating the strategies the franchises employ to tackle challenges and ensure long-term success. These brands’ forward-thinking attitudes and groundbreaking innovations never cease to impress us, earning them the recognition they wholeheartedly deserve.”

The EF100 2026 rankings will be celebrated at the annual EF100 Awards Ceremony on Thursday 12th March 2026, at the Leonardo Royal Hotel, St Paul’s, London. The evening will honour the achievements of every franchise featured in the Top 100 and shine a spotlight on the brands driving the sector forward.

This ceremony will also include accolades for other achievements such as the People’s Choice Award, with Elite Franchise subscribers once again invited to vote for the brand they believe stands out most. Before casting your vote, a reminder, you can explore a detailed profile of each brand in the EF100 guide to make an informed decision.

On the awards night, Elite Franchise will also announce the Supplier Award, recognising the vital role suppliers play in supporting franchise growth and success. The winner will be selected by franchises included in this year’s EF100.
