House of Colour Greenwich franchisee Emilie West

Having worked in investment banking for 14 years, Emilie personally experienced first-hand how powerful it was to wear the right colours and use style to show and strengthen her personal brand at work. “As I took on more senior roles, knowing how to dress with authority gave me confidence, particularly when presenting, and I also loved looking and feeling my best outside of work too where I could have a bit more fun with my clothes.”

Emilie had her colours analysed as a 21-year-old. Whilst she enjoyed the class, on her way home she felt unsure about the vibrant colours she had been advised to wear but immediately started receiving compliments when she wore them. “I knew then there was something to this and decided to give it a two-week trial run and only wear the winter colours that suit my skin pigments every day. It had such an impact that I never looked back! Alongside my corporate consultancy I wanted to make time to share the huge benefits and confidence that I had gained from my own colour and style classes all those years ago with others and so I booked myself onto the intensive House of Colour training programme and became a consultant. I now have my own successful franchise business with House of Colour and I'm even looking to expand with another stylist joining me.

“I love helping my clients to learn how to dress confidently for any occasion and to maximise their brand and achieve their goals. I often get emails from clients a few weeks after their consultation saying it has given them the confidence to apply for a new job or go for promotion.”

Of course what we do is not just for those looking to advance their careers; Mums wanting simplicity and to look great at the school gate, someone recovering from a crisis or rediscovering themselves later in life, someone with a big event coming up or someone who just wants to share a great experience with some friends – everyone deserves their own personal stylist! Offering House of Colour services to all sorts of people is one of the reasons joining House of Colour as a consultant is so satisfying.
