Travelosophers launches Academy to support the next generation of travel entrepreneurs
Travelosophers has unveiled the Travelosophers Academy, a brand-new training and development programme designed to help people with little or no previous travel industry experience launch successful homeworking travel businesses.
Created as a structured and comprehensive learning journey, the Academy has been developed to give new franchisees the knowledge, commercial skills and confidence needed to build thriving businesses while delivering exceptional customer service.
The business is currently onboarding its first intake of franchisees and is inviting conversations with individuals considering a career change, whether they are completely new to travel or bringing transferable skills from another industry.
At the heart of the Academy is a structured 12-week induction programme, combining live learning sessions, self-study and practical application to crate a flexible and engaging learning experience. Franchisees will also benefit from dedicated business development support, practical assessments, mentoring from experienced Business Development Managers and ongoing guidance from the Travelosophers Head Office team.
The programme has been designed not only to develop travel knowledge across destinations, suppliers and products, but also to equip franchisees with the commercial skills required to establish and grow successful businesses. Alongside training, franchisees gain access to Travelosophers' technology platform, including a customer travel app, quotation and itinerary builder, integrated CRM, intelligent document management and AI-powered tools that simplify everyday administration and allow more time to focus on clients and business growth.
The Travelosophers Academy will welcome a carefully selected intake of franchisees, with every applicant chosen not only for their passion for travel, but also for their ambition and desire to build a successful business within a supportive community of like-minded professionals.
This considered approach also allows each franchisee to benefit from a tailored learning experience, personalised mentoring and dedicated one-to-one support throughout their induction, with the first Academy programme set to launch in the coming weeks.
The launch of the Academy builds on the success already achieved by existing Travelosophers franchisees, many of whom joined the business to create flexible, rewarding careers in travel.

Dan joined Travelosophers in 2023, bringing with him an extraordinary and varied career. Before entering the travel industry, he spent 12 years in the RAF as a helicopter engineer before running a successful carp fishery in France. Since joining Travelosophers, Dan has become a multi-million-pound travel seller, helping clients create unforgettable holidays while building a thriving business of his own.
"Joining Travelosophers has given me the flexibility I need in a busy life, while surrounding me with people who genuinely want to see me succeed. I was blown away by their passion for the business and commitment to helping me grow. The Head Office team are always there when you need them, and I'd say to anyone thinking of joining - just do it. It really can change your life."
When he's not creating dream holidays, Dan's favourite destination is Sri Lanka, while Vietnam, Cambodia and Antarctica remain at the top of his travel wish list. His biggest booking to date is a £70,000 family holiday to Orlando, and one of his most memorable educational trips was to the surprisingly fascinating destination of Uzbekistan.

Amy joined Travelosophers in 2025, bringing with her over 20 years of travel industry experience. After leaving the industry to explore a career in education, she soon realised her heart had always belonged to travel. Three years later, Amy returned to the industry she loves, joining Travelosophers and quickly achieving her first-year sales target while building a thriving business of her own.
"Joining Travelosophers has been the best decision I've ever made. After years of hesitation and not believing in myself, I finally took the leap, and it's changed everything. The support from my Travelosophers family is incredible - everyone is always happy to help, whatever the time of day. Being surrounded by such an inspiring team has given me the confidence to succeed, and I'd encourage anyone thinking about joining to go for it!"
When she's not planning dream holidays for her clients, Amy's favourite destination is the Maldives, while Thailand remains firmly at the top of her travel wish list.

Gareth joined Travelosophers in 2022, fulfilling a lifelong ambition of running his own travel business. After enjoying a successful career overseas as a Tour Manager and River Cruise Manager, he returned to the UK and took a break from the travel industry, but his passion for travel never faded. Since then, Gareth has earned multiple award wins and nominations, maintained outstanding five-star customer reviews, enjoyed unforgettable educational trips around the world, and created exceptional bespoke holidays for his clients – including a once-in-a-lifetime Silversea World Cruise for a solo traveller.
"Joining Travelosophers has fulfilled a lifelong dream and introduced me to a fantastic family of some of the best people in the travel industry. I wanted the freedom to build a business that reflected my own values, while having the support of an experienced and trusted team behind me. The relationship I have with my Business Development Manager, the support from Head Office, and the collaborative community of fellow Travelosophers have all played a huge part in my success. Running your own business takes commitment and hard work, but if you're willing to put the effort in, the rewards are incredible."
When he's not designing unforgettable holidays, Gareth is usually planning his next adventure. Italy and Greece are among his favourite destinations in Europe, while New Zealand remains one of the most memorable places he's ever visited. Next on his travel wish list is Latin America, with Peru, Brazil and the Galápagos Islands all high on his list of dream destinations.
