Focal Point UK is looking for experienced business people to run coaching businesses in the industries they already know.

Focal Point was set up in the US by Brian Tracy and Steve Thompson and is now the largest business coaching network there, with more than 300 coaches worldwide. We're building the UK network now, and most industries are still open.

How Focal Point works

You take an industry rather than a patch on a map: the one you know best, across the whole of the UK.

Most coaching happens online, so your clients can be anywhere in the UK.

From the start, Focal Point's business development system finds the right businesses in your sector and books first conversations into your diary.

You coach with more than 200 modules tailored to each client's industry, backed by Focal Point's own AI, full training and a mentor of your own.

The fee is a fixed £1,500 a month however much you earn, so as your client base grows, more of it stays with you. Clients pay monthly and tend to stay for years. As a Sector Principal you can bring other coaches into your sector and build a business you can one day sell.

Who we're looking for

You don't need any coaching experience.

Most of our coaches came from senior roles. They've run teams, been responsible for a P&L and are used to being the person others bring problems to.

Very few had coached before. Typically they have 15 to 25 years' experience, know one industry well and are comfortable having frank conversations with business owners. Many come to us after a restructure, a sale or a redundancy, or when they decide they'd rather work for themselves.

Investment

There are two routes. 

As a Sector Principal (£60,000) you hold the rights to your sector across the UK and can build a team of coaches in it.

As a Coach (£30,000) you run your own practice at whatever size suits you, with the same training, tools and monthly fee. If you need finance, Focal Point has funding relationships with HSBC, NatWest and the British Business Bank.
